Good morning! Here is my semi-regular cities skylines photodump.
Since my last post i added more transport related assets. Like this lovely BMW 2002:
And the eternal classic: 1968 911 (in red):
I finished the far end of the city with a walled-in planned community of English style semi-detached and detached homes. Suburban bliss.
I think the city turned out pretty well overall. Population is around 200K plus or minus 5K depending on aging cycle.
Also got some new trains:
And now a side aerial view. Sorry it was foggy that day.

My computer starts to stutter a bit when I reach 150k pop. And I’m not running any mods. How does yours perform running this city?

I need to get back into playing this and try to do one less brutally-efficiently. My cities all end up completely gridlocked high density hellscapes.

My first cities were all like that. There is a tendency for me to overbuild and I think this particular city is where i restrained myself to create something visually interesting and livable for the first time.
This is a shot from my city immediately before this. Notice the super grids and how packed it is:
My current “project” is to make a series of cities as parts of a very fictional north central European kingdom (kinda like imagine if Germany never got into ww1). I am looking into custom maps.

I have to force myself to create big patches of green space and make “national parks” for the cims to enjoy.
At night they like camping :)

Here’s my latest (I updated 1.2GB of this game just to get this picture, and will probably sucked back in shortly), 151k people. Traffic is a disaster.

Well at first glance you need some exits from the highways that goes into your cities. search the workshop for highway exits and install them. Connect the exits to roundabouts and then connect them to the main roads. That way once your cims need to get out or go from one end of the city to another they can use the highway.
Here is an aerial view of mine. See the highway interchanges that assist in traffic flow (circled):

Hmm... maybe I’ll load this city up, save a copy, and do a major roadway overhaul to try and get it to free up a bit.
